Charlaine Harris and Me

Charlaine Harris, the writer of the Sookie Stackhouse books on which the True Blood TV series is based, was in NZ recently.  I got to listen to her talk and answer questions, as well as show her favourite clips from the show.
She seems a lovely person and is such an innocuous package for such violent sexy vampires to have come out of! A wonderful example of how unexpected we writers can be.
Charlaine says she writes around 6 pages a day of 250 words per page.  Which is a similar amount to what I'll write in a day.  Let's hope I have a similar success as well!
